Cristina’s Home Care Package story

Fortunately for Lina, it didn’t take much convincing to get her mum Cristina to apply for a home care package when the services she had in place were no longer enough.

“The home care package supports the void that I’d not be able to manage due to my own health issues and working commitments. It relieves so much pressure on me,” says Lina.

Cristina is 92 years young and is still living happily at home with a little support from Latrobe Community Health Service. She currently receives help with personal and domestic care.

”It’s important to keep mum in her own home as it means that she can still do what she wants, when she wants.”

“Mum has retained her confidence and is still very much in control even though she is dependent on others.”

Lina is grateful for the support her mum gets to live at home and is far happier knowing Cristina is cared for. She recommends a home care package to anyone needing help caring for their parents.
